SMS (Short Message Service) is a service to send messages from/to the Internet to/from a GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) cellular phone. You can send a short message (max 160 chars) to a GSM cellular phone via e-mail or vice versa, by means of an e-mail/SMS Gateway. Obviously, cellular phones must be abilitated to receive/send SMS messages. Notice the receiving phone number, for instance 0338-123456, must be typed in this way: +39338123456 (39 if you are in Italy for example, and '338' without '0'). Some e-mail/SMS gateways ask you for an e-mail address, in order to advise you when a message has sent.

• http://www.softline.fi/server/comcenter/sms.pl Log in as user: demo and password: demo. This account has a limit of 20 sms/day starting 00.00 finish time(=23.00 swedish time). And the sms-counter hits the limit pretty fast. But it works if you're there.
• http://www.mtn.co.za/sms.html Just remove the standard 083 and enter 46707123456 for the Swedish number 070-7123456. Should be similar for other numbers and countries.
