How to use PGP: PGPtools

• If you click on the first icon, the PGPkeys window will come out. By means of PGPkeys you can manage keys contained into your keyring.
• If you click on the second icon you will be able to encrypt files. PGP will ask you for a file to encrypt. After choosing the file, you will have to choose a public key to encrypt it.
• If you click on the third icon you will be able to sign a file. For this reason you will provide your secret passphrase.
• If you click on the fourth icon you will be able to encrypt and sign a file.
• If you click on the fifth icon you will be able to decrypt and/or verify a file.
• If you click on the sixth icon you will be able to wipe a file. Notice: when you wipe a file you are erasing the file in an irreversible manner! We will see more about 'wiping' issue in the 'Password and Passphrases' section (follow the link in the previous page).
