| There are several newsgroups readers, but I think the most known is surely Free Agent. Free Agent is a good software and it is freeware. You can download it at: http://www.forteinc.com. This is Free Agent 1.1/32:
After downloading and configuring Free Agent, you have to 'download' groups. In other words your ISP's news server 'handles' a certain number of groups and you have to download the list of groups handled by that server (each ISP has its policy and so some ISP not even handle news and they have not a news server. However don't worry, because there are many public news server on the net. But we will see that later). Warning: the first time this operation will take some minutes, because there are thousands of groups by now. Next times you won't have problems, because you have 'the list' stored on your hard disk, and Free Agent will take it from there. Now let's see Free Agent features: |
