Jughead (Jonzy's Universal Gopher Hierarchy Excavation and Display) is a gopher search engine developed in 1993 by Rhett Jones at the University of Utah.

After selecting a Jughead Server, your gopher client will present a dialog box. Enter a search string. The search is not case sensitive.

You can use Boolean operators AND, NOT, and OR between words.

An asterisk '*' at the trailing end of a query word will match any character.

Special characters (. ! , @ # $) are treated as spaces.

commands

?all [string] returns all items matching the search string.

?help [item] return generic help or help about specific item.

?limit=n return a smaller number of items (1,024 is the default number)

?version returns the version of jughead being used
