Now let's see the above buttons. The first button send the current message to the Trash mailbox, the second button open the In mailbox and the third button open the Out mailbox. The button pointed by the arrow check new messages. If you hold down the shift key while you are pressing this button, you will be able to change the mail transfer options, by means of this window:

As default, the 'Normally' field is checked, and Eudora will use the options that you have specified by means of the Tools menu. So don't be worried about this window. However, if you use the shift key as specified above, you will be able to change those options.

The button pointed by the arrow creates a new message. Later we will see more in detail this feature. However if you hold down the shift key while you are pressing this button, you will be able to choose your 'Personality'. In other words you can have more personalities, for example if you have more than one POP3 account. So, if you have more than one email address, you can define them by means of the Tools menu. After defining your personalities, you can choose which of them you want ot use. When you use the shift key Eudora will change the 'From:' field according to you choice. In fact Eudora will show to you this window, where you can choose your Personality.

The button pointed by the arrow opens the Address Book that contains nicknames and email addresses:

Here you can add or remove nicknames (email addresses). By pressing the 'New' button you will be able to define a nickname, its email address and other helpful notes. Besides you can put it into the 'Recipient List'. When you put a nickname into the Recipient List, you will be able to refer to that nickname when you create a new message. So you have not to remember the email address of your friend, say Mike. In fact when you create a new message, just ask to Eudora: you will see the Recipient List where you will be able to choose the Mike's email address.
