| There are several methods to build a simple 3D button: let's see one of them. First of all create a new 100x50 pixels image (16 colors). Then with the shape tool, draw a rectangle:
Now, using the line tool, draw 4 lines at each corner, like this:
Now paint the top border, the left border and the central area with the flood fill tool, using a light color:
Now paint the bottom and the right borders using a darker color:
Choose carefully your colors. Look at the same image with 4 different colors:
Here, I used a very light color to fill the central area, a little darker to fill the upper and left side borders, and a much darker color to fill both the lower and right side borders. I used the darkest color to paint the text 'Click!'. |
