14/03/2006 - 19:08 (Category: Windows) If the Internet Explorer pop-up blocker is enabled pop-ups will be blocked. Anyway you can always allow them for secure sites (HTTPS sites) editing the Windows registry: 1) click on Start -> Run 2) type regedit 3) go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Internet Explorer -> New Windows 4) right click on New Windows and select New -> REG_DWORD Value 5) name it 'AllowHTTPS' (do not change small letters and capital letters) 6) double-click AllowHTTPS and type '1' in the Value Data box 7) close regedit 8) logoff or restart Windows You are done! Notice that will works for the current user only: if you log in as a different user all pop-ups will be blocked as usual WARNING: the Windows' registry is the heart of Windows: you will be in *TROUBLE* if you damage it! Your computer could be temporarily unavailable! So, before editing it, please make sure you have a backup copy of it.
