How to change text in the Internet Explorer title bar

09/03/2006 - 18:49 (Category: Windows)

You can change text in the Internet Explorer title bar easily:

1) go to Start -> Run
2) type regedit
3) go to HKEY_CURRENT_USERS -> Software -> Microsoft -> Internet Explorer ->Main
4) double-click the 'Window Title' String value and type whatever you want on the title bar of Internet Explorer (if you type nothing, nothing will be displayed in the title bar)

If you can't see the 'Window Title' String value, right-click on 'Main', select New and choose 'String value'. Name it 'Window Title' (do not change small letters and capital letters)

You are done!
WARNING: the Windows' registry is the heart of Windows: you will be in *TROUBLE* if you damage it! Your computer could be temporarily unavailable!
