A couple of cool dragging tips: drag selected text and drop it to some applications' icons in the dock or directly on the desktop.
1) Dragging text on the Safari's icon in the dock will open Safari which will do a Google search with the dragged text for you!
2) Dragging text on the Mail's icon will create a new mail containing the dragged text (provided Mail is already running)
3) Dragging text on the desktop will create a new text file containing the dragged text.
