How to make a Windows' registry backup copy

Before updating the Windows' registry, you should make one backup copy of it. So you will be able to restore the previous Windows status in case of need.

To achieve that, click on START -> Run then type regedit
click on Ok.

Click on the File menu item on the pop-up window, then select Export.
Choose any name you like then click on Save.
Ok, you have a Windows' registry backup copy now.

To restore the saved copy of the registry, just double click on the saved copy icon. That's all.
